We had plenty of interest and were surprised to find that we were the only print related company exhibiting at the show. Print and the Internet, more often than not, are seen as two separate entities that cannot work together. However, workflows and software that bring the two together have been around since the inception of the internet. Most of the attendees were marketing and agency professionals looking for better ways to manage their own and their client's print requirements. This included a wide range of products from business cards to DVD covers, presentation packs, and flyers.

Enterprise Edition Sets The Pace - August 2006
"If you had a bike to get from A to B, why would you walk?" says Ivor Jacobs of London based Ivor Solution. It's a light hearted comment, but Ivor raises a serious point. Web based applications are enabling businesses to operate globally, around the clock. To respond to this pace, Print Management companies must also embrace technology and to support this Ivor Solution have introduced Ivor Solution Enterprise Edition. Ivor Solution Enterprise Edition is a web based software solution which enables print to be created, proofed and ordered online in real time. Using a single screen on a standard web browser, end users can order any number of printed products by entering variable data or calling from stock. As the software is server based users don't need to invest in additional equipment, they simply require access to the internet.

For a Print Management company, Ivor Solution Enterprise Edition delivers an 'always open' client order facility, from an own brand access screen. What's more a competitive transaction charge on orders placed through the system means low implementation costs, with prices starting from as little as £350.00. Managing Director, Ivor Jacobs adds, "As members of the Independent Print Industries Assocation (IPIA) we network with a number of Print Management companies and have been able to listen to what they want. We find technology can still be perceived as expensive and time consuming. Ivor Solution Enterprise Edition challenges this with a cost effective on-demand solution, that is geared towards the largest end users. What's more it makes cross selling easier for the Print Management company as clients order a variety of products from one entry point."
